Created by a hospital client to honor the front-line heroes—the nurses—this book accomplished its purpose in a beautiful way. It was a privilege to work on this project. It was heartbreaking. It was inspiring. And I haven't looked at nursing the same way since.
I worked in close collaboration with author Kathy Brown to design and edit the interior of this book. She had worked hard creating and organizing the content. The cover was a design collaboration, and our team spent quite a bit of time ensuring the look was just what she had in mind, right down to the fonts we used. It was a marvelously complex, synergistic and fascinating project.
The fun thing about working on books is that I invariably learn something new.
I designed the cover and interior, and also proofread the whole book.
